How to Use How to use Scotch blue painters tape with plastic. First clean all surfaces, by dusting or cleaning with soap and water. Allow to dry completely. Apply the tape to the bottom of your baseboard of your room as well as doors, cabinets and any surface you do not want stain or residue water. Extend plastic and attach to wall with blue painters tape. Remove tape and plastic on completion of project. Being careful, as it could still have wet stain or water.
