How to Use Floor Wax Remover Preparation and Application: Mix 12 ounces of wax remover with 1 gallon of water. Apply to area liberally with a sprayer, brush or mop. Allow to sit at least 5 minutes, adding more if needed to ensure the area stays saturated wet and does not dry out. Lightly scrub area with a soft bristle scrub brush, a floor scrubber or a floor buffing machine with scrubbing pads to remove floor wax. Work in sections and mop up or wash off each area as you go. Repeat and spot scrub as needed. After completely removing floor wax from the entire area, allow to dry and final clean with soap and water and rinse well with clean water and allow to dry prior to applying fresh wax.
